Himanshu, an IIT aspirant from Bihar, stands accused of brutally murdering his mother, Pratima Devi, following a dispute over Rs 5,000. The tragic episode unfolded in Hisar, Haryana, where Himanshu and his mother resided.
When Pratima Devi refused to provide the money, tensions escalated, leading to a fit of rage that resulted in Himanshu strangling his mother to death.
In the aftermath of the murder, Himanshu attempted to conceal the crime by packing his mother's lifeless body into a suitcase. He then embarked on a journey to Prayagraj to dispose of her remains at the holy Triveni Sangam.
Alert locals, however, noticed his suspicious behavior at the riverside and promptly informed the police. Law enforcement reached the scene, discovering the concealed body in the suitcase and swiftly apprehending Himanshu. The accused is currently in custody, and an investigation is underway, with DCP Deepak Bhukar providing details of the grim incident.
